Tasting the French culture ?

Every monday morning there is bustling market in Duras. You'll find delicious vegetables, cheese, fresh fish, oysters, foie gras, and the famous Pruneaux d'Agen. You can taste the delicacies from the Sud-Ouest in the restaurants around Savignac de Duras.
Savignac de Duras is part of the Appellation Controlée (AOC) de la Côtes de Duras, one of the oldest Appellations in France. A large proportion of the grape growers make their own wine rather than sending the grapes to the local Co-operative as happens in many other areas. This results in a wide variety of individual wines.

such as the famous vineyards of Saint-Emilion, Bordeaux, Bergerac, Sauternes and Chateau Monbazillac.
